How the Reptiles and Amfibians shall be displayed

The animal shall only be visible from one side or from the top.

1 animal per container (with the ecception of small ( less than 10 cm) waterturtles.

The container shall be suitably furnished for the animal to feel safe. No papertowels!

A piece of bark or dry leaves may be a good solution depending on the species.

In case the animal is not sold in the container displayed the seller must provide a suitable continer to the customer.

Container / Dimensions

The shortest side of the container:

Lizards and Amfibians: Not less than 1,5 of the animals total length.

Snakes: Not less than 0,3 of the animals total length.

Turtles/Tortoises: Not less than 2 x length of Carapax.

The height of the container shall be suitable for the species in question.

(Treeliving species do require hight than groundliving etc.)

The container shall be cleaned if necessary. Faeces shall be removed.

Humidity and temperature shall be adequate to the species needs.

Aquatic species shall be kept in water.

Other

The seller must be able to provide a caresheet to the customer.
