About importation of reptiles / amphibians to Sweden

First of all: Only captive born animals are allowed (with the exeption of invertebrates) to bring in. CITES II animals requires breeders certificate or other documentation stating that they are not originating from the wild. CITES I animals require valid CITES permits.

When You pass the Swedish border it may be necessary to have an importpermit to bring reptiles and amfibians in to the country.

As an exhibitor  You will be forwarded a signed and stamped copy of TROPIKMÄSSANS importpermit.

You are only required to show the importpermit upon request if You have anything to declare.

If customs want to have the animals inspected we have notified 1 inspector to be standby.

Important:

We are obliged to send a list over the animals to  authorities 1 working day before the importation will be done. We need it latest on Thursday 24/5. It can be sent to Us by fax to:+46 40 6726232 or better directly to the authorities +46 36 190556 or by e-mail: jordbruksverket@sjv.se
